Classical street musicians at Place Collette. In the background the public art installation of 2000, celebrating the centennial of the Paris Metro (it’s an entrance to the Palais Royal-Musee du Louvre station). The artist was Jean-Michel Othoniel.The title translates to Kiosk of the Nightwalkers.

Trompe d’oeil trellis. Yes, this is flat on the wall. There a number of these around Paris, all by the same artist, I believe, and just as amazing as it looks here.

quantity of butter served for one at lunch. I suppose it was about 5 pounds set on my table. Of course, this is not America and the butter was not discarded when I left most of it, but I still found it pretty astounding.
